'Best in Show'

Angela Shields, won the award for best design and composition in the 5th annual SPCA Best in Show art show. The painting, "Dressed for Dinner", is of Angela's son and daughter-in-law's dog, Peanut, a Boston Terrier. Out of over 300 entries in the show, the painting was one of eight chosen to be printed on note cards that are for sale for $12.00. proceeds go to benefit the Roanoke Valley SPCA.

Gallery 108 wins "Best Art Gallery" Award

Once again, Gallery 108 has been voted "Best Art Gallery" by readers of the City Magazine in their annual poll. Over 12,000 votes were cast in all categories. Thanks to everyone who voted for us.

We also made the list of "Best Places to see Unique or Underground Art". And, congratulations to John Reburn, voted "Most Humorous Roanoker". Keep 'em laughing John!

Two person exhibit

Member artists Agnes Stringfellow and Susan Egbert are exhibiting recent works at Westlake Library, Westlake Towne Center in Hardy, VA. This exhibit showcases over 20 pieces of art and will run through the month of March.

Art By Night

On the first Thursday of each month, the galleries of Roanoke sponsor a Gallery Walk from 5 - 9 pm. Come check out the exhibits, meet the artists and enjoy some music and light refreshments.
